AUDITION NOTICE: SEASON’S GREETINGS

Production dates: November 9-14, 2026

ABOUT THE PLAY

Neville and Belinda are hosting Christmas for family and friends in their large house. Christmas traditions are a source of constant squabbles and the arrival of Clive, a young writer, takes the turmoil to a whole new level.

 

CHARACTERS

(Ages are a guide only)

Harvey (M – 60s) Retired security guard with a penchant for all things violent

Belinda (F – mid-30s) Competent yet long suffering hostess

Neville (M – mid-30s) Belinda’s husband, self-absorbed and gadget obsessed

Pattie (F – late-20s – early-30s) Heavily pregnant and unhappy about it

Eddie (M – early-mid 30s) Pattie’s husband and Neville’s best friend

Bernard (M – 40s) Phyllis’s long-suffering husband; a rather ineffectual doctor

Phyllis (F – early-40s) Neville’s sister; a bit flighty and a heavy drinker

Rachel (F – late-30s) Belinda’s sister; slightly neurotic with a crush on Clive

Clive (M – late-20s) Novelist who is out of his depth with this family; develops a crush on Belinda
