ABOUT THE PLAY
When a house party gather at Gull’s Point, the seaside home of Lady Tressilian, Nevile Strange finds himself caught between his old wife, Audrey and his new flame, Kay. The scene is set for one of Christie’s most intriguing thrillers. Who will be murdered and who will be revealed as a sadistic killer?
The Queen of Crime keeps us guessing right to the very surprising end.
CHARACTERS (All ages are flexible)
Thomas Royde (M) – 40s, rugged, solid, dependable, in love with Audrey.
Kay Strange (F) – 20-30, Nevile’s second wife, young, beautiful, insecure and jealous.
Mary Aldin (F) – 30-40, reserved, pleasant, hardworking dogsbody to Lady Tressilian.
Nevile Strange (M) – 40s, dashing, attractive, confident, ex-tennis star.
Treves (M) – Elderly, distinguished ex-lawyer. Shrewd observer.
Lady Tressilian (F) – Elderly, aristocratic, aware of her position in society.
Audrey Strange (F) – 35-40, Nevile’s first wife, quiet, composed, bit of an enigma.
Ted Latimer (M) – Late-20s, handsome, well groomed, in love with Kay.
Superintendent Battle (M) – Mature, distinguished policeman.
Inspector Leach (M) – 30-40, Battle’s nephew.
