Synopsis
A recently married woman living in London becomes nervous when strange things begin to happen. Personal items start to disappear and occasionally the gaslights dim. Her husband fears that she is losing her mind. Fortunately, Inspector Rough is on hand to befriend her.
Set in the Victorian era, this splendidly suspenseful thriller has been a huge audience favourite from its first London staging in 1938, since which it has become a staple for companies all over the world.
