Synopsis
Rita has enrolled on an Open University course to discover herself and better her circumstances. Her tutor is Frank, a frustrated poet and academic, an alcoholic, and less than enthusiastic about taking Rita as a student. Yet he’s fascinated by her take on life and realizes she has potential.
An insightful look into the ways that social class and education can shape who we are, and a careful study in the uncertainty of transformation as we go through life wishing for something we don’t have.
