Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

10 July 2024–13 July 2024

Leicester Drama Society

The Haywood Studio

Synopsis

A quick-changing, laugh-out-loud reimagining of the gothic classic, Dracula. Think The 39 Steps meets Monty Python. Five actors play over a dozen characters in this madcap take that’s guaranteed to induce blood curdling screams… of laughter!

In the treacherous mountains of Transylvania, a meek English real estate agent takes a harrowing journey to meet a mysterious client, Count Dracula. Only a few days later in England, Mina falls ill with a strange disease of the blood. Her father, Dr Westfeldt calls for famed vampire hunter, Van Helsing.

The group hunt for the dangerous (and sexy) Count Dracula as he tries to win over his latest obsession, Lucy. Will they be able to help Mina and stop the local murders?
